IT Cert Compass exists to give readers clear, honest guidance about IT certifications. This Editorial Policy explains how we research, write, and maintain our content — and the standards we hold ourselves to.
Reader-first, always
Every article is written for the reader — not for search engines, advertisers, or certification vendors. We explain topics in plain language, define jargon when we use it, and focus on the questions a real person researching a certification would actually ask: What is this? Who is it for? What does it cost? How do I prepare? What can it realistically do for my career?
Accuracy and sourcing
We base our guides on publicly available information from certification providers, official exam documentation, and widely reported industry data. Because exam objectives, fees, and policies change, we review published articles periodically and update them when we become aware of material changes. When we cite figures such as exam costs, we aim to reflect the most current published information and encourage readers to verify with the official provider.
Independence
We are an independent education website. We do not sell certifications, exam vouchers, or training courses. Certification providers do not review or approve our content before publication, and no provider pays us for coverage or for a favorable opinion. If we ever publish sponsored content in the future, it will be clearly labeled — see our Advertising Policy.
No fake expertise
We do not invent author credentials, fabricate personal exam experiences, or present speculation as fact. Articles are attributed to the IT Cert Compass Editorial Team, and we describe our content for what it is: carefully researched educational guides, not insider accounts. Where our knowledge has limits, we say so.
Corrections
We take errors seriously. If you spot a mistake — an outdated fee, a changed exam code, a broken link — please tell us through our Contact page. We will investigate and correct verified errors promptly.
What we don’t publish
- Exam dumps, leaked questions, or any material that violates a provider’s exam policies.
- Guarantees about passing exams, getting hired, or earning a specific salary.
- Paid rankings or “best of” lists influenced by advertisers.
